Creative Media Diploma

The Creative and Media Diploma provides opportunities for young people and prepares them to join the workforce and for progression into further training.

Sadler's Wells has been very actively involved in the planning of the diplomas and was part of the pilot phase working in the borough of Hackney.

Sadler's Wells is able to offer young people and their teachers the opportunity to work closely with industry experts who work closely with teaching staff within the educational framework.

Sadler's Wells Inside the Workforce Days for young people utilise many contacts internally and externally within the creative and media industry to bring in real business participation which is difficult for schools and colleges to achieve in this area, especially with regard to securing placements for 10 days of work experience for each pupil.

Sadler's Wells has the following experience of working on the Creative and Media Diploma.

  • Commissioned by ArtsInform to work alongside the Laban Centre and Stoke Newington School to plan, pilot and produce elements of the Creative and media Diploma. This also included an extensive consultation and evaluation process.
  • Feedback and consultation at the Borough Teams at Show and Tell Work Related Learning Event-key note presenter.
  • Following the roll out Commissioned by LB Hackney to deliver elements of the Creative +Media Diploma.
  • Commissioned by Skillset to host and deliver insight days for diploma teachers focusing on how they can work with cultural organisations.

"Sadler's Wells have proved to be an excellent partner to work with in developing appropriate resources and experiences to support delivery of the Diplomas. We have planned specific work related learning activities for students undertaking the Creative & Media Diploma, as well as filmed interviews of different jobs and roles in the venue which support the Diploma in Business, Administration and Finance. The Community and Education team are open to organising student visits and developing bespoke learning activities which has made for a very productive partnership."
