We need the support of our loyal audience more than ever now that we have moved Sadler's Wells forward from being solely a receiving house to one that also commissions, develops and produces major new dance work. Alistair Spalding announced this new artistic vision for the theatre in 2005 (see press archive) and since then we have been working to establish Sadler's Wells as the UK's premier home for the creation of new dance works. We have grown the number of Associate Artists and Companies to ten, staged 5 pieces commissioned by Sadler's Wells and 14 shows that we have either produced or co-produced, including Zero Degrees, Sacred Monsters, PUSH, TAG…Me vs. The City and Mahabharata.
Commissioning and producing new work is hugely costly and we want to do more. This aim, together with continuing to bring dance companies from all over the world to the UK, means we need your support and help make this happen.
