Sadler's Wells launches monthly themed club nights
Sadler's Wells presents the first of its monthly club nights in the Lilian Baylis Theatre on Friday 19 October 2007.
The events offer audiences the chance to learn a wide range of dance styles from salsa to bollywood, reggaeton to tango, with tuition from expert instructors and music provided by leading DJ’s. Sadler’s Wells club nights have been organised in response to huge demand from the theatre’s audiences and following the success of previous post-performance dance classes and workshops.
Starting on Friday 19 October 2007 with a salsa theme, the club nights kick off with an optional beginners’ class from 7.15pm, followed by a class for intermediate levels at 8.15pm, after which participants can put their newly learned dance moves into practice from 9pm until midnight. Respected DJ, DJ Cliffy, renowned for his hugely successful Batmacumba Brazilian club nights at the ICA and Future World Funk nights at Notting Hill Arts Club, alongside guest Salsa DJ Javier la Rosa, provides the perfect backdrop of infectious salsa sounds to get feet moving and hips swaying. Tickets are just £8 per person.
“Cliffy has quickly become the man behind two of the most innovative nights in London” Time Out
“You might think that you’ve heard it all before where club music is concerned but the great news is you haven’t even begun” Time Out on Future World Funk clubnights – Critics Choice
