Travelling to Sadler's Wells

By Coach
If you are travelling by coach we would be grateful if you could take note of the following, and pass this information on to your coach driver:

  • There is a limited amount space for coaches to park on Rosebery Avenue

  • There are double yellow lines along most of the road outside the theatre, and there is also a bus stop. Please ask your drivers not to park in the bus stop or on the double yellow lines as it causes a great deal of congestion.

  • We would also request that coach drivers switch their engines off when parked outside the theatre. Sadler's Wells is located in a residential area and we are keen to keep any kind of disturbance to our neighbours, particularly engine noise and pollution, to a minimum.

By Bus
Buses 19, 38 and 341 stop immediately outside the theatre, and buses 30 and 73 stop nearby.

The Sadler's Wells Express bus (SWX) is a specially chartered service which takes you to Farringdon, Waterloo and Victoria stations. The bus waits directly outside the theatre from curtain down and leaves 8 minutes after each evening performance. Tickets can be booked in advance through the ticket office, or can be bought on the bus. Tickets cost £2.00 or £1.50 for one day Travelcard holders. Oyster cards cannot be accepted.

The SWX operates after evening performances only.

By Tube

The nearest tube station is Angel (Northern Line), which is 5 minutes walk from Sadler's Wells. Turn left out of the tube station, go to the traffic lights and continue straight on down St John Street. Take the second road on the right after the traffic lights. This is Rosebery Avenue. Sadler's Wells is on the right hand side of the road
