Balletboyz - The Greatest Hits!

Since Michael Nunn and William Trevitt (AKA Balletboyz) formed their company in 2001, they have built up a formidable repertoire of 32 different works, created by the leading choreographers of our time. Of these, an amazing 27 have been commissioned by the Company.
For The Greatest Hits! the Boyz select audience favourites from the last seven years in an evening of award-winning dance treats including Maliphant’s Broken Fall (Olivier Award 2004), Wheeldon’s Mesmerics, and new tango triumph Yumba vs. Nonino, created for the Boyz by BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood for the Royal Festival Hall in July 2007.
The Balletboyz will be joined on stage by Oxana Panchenko and Edward Watson, Principal with The Royal Ballet. They will perform Raphael Bonachela's EdOx, a reworking of AmOx, which was commissioned by Balletboyz for the reopening gala at the Royal Festival Hall. Originally danced by Oxana Pachenko alongside Amy Hollingsworth, here the piece has been adapted for Pachenko and Watson, with a brand new score by Ezio Bosso. This will be the world premiere of the new version - check out the taster clip below.

- "We love creating new work, but that can make it difficult to find the time to re-stage existing work, which we thought was a shame. So for this show, we thought we would share again some of our Greatest Hits! Of course, there’ll be some new stuff too, we can’t help ourselves! Enjoy"
