The aim of the course is to give participants the chance to learn how to formulate funding proposals from experts in the field of fundraising. It will focus on how best to fund projects, who to approach for funds and how to present projects in a way that attracts funders. There will be an opportunity to speak with a panel of professionals who will aim to answer queries and give top quality advice and direction on how to fundraise effectively.

The day will begin with a workshop looking at the key elements of funding. In the afternoon there will be a question and answer session when participants will be able to quiz the panel of experts who represent different arts organisations and funding bodies.

The day will finish with the opportunity to have a one to one meeting with a member of the panel who will be able to offer direct advice on specific projects.

The funding surgery aims to provide participants with the relevant knowledge and skills they need to successfully fundraise.
