Carlos Acosta - Carlos in Cuba

We have now sold out of our allocation of tickets for Carlos in Cuba.
Tickets can be booked by phoning the Coliseum ticket office: 0871 911 0200
For his second programme at the London Coliseum, Carlos in Cuba, Acosta joins forces with the Danza Contemporanea de Cuba, the company which starred in Acosta's legendary show Tocororo.
The first half of the evening features typically Cuban works; the pas de deux from Don Quixote performed by Carlos Acosta and Yolanda Correa, Principal dancer with Ballet Nacional de Cuba; and two works created by Cuban choreographer George Céspedes, one of which will receive its world premiere at the London Coliseum.
The evening is completed by the hugely enjoyable Tocororo Suite, encompassing the finest moments from Acosta's Tocororo - A Cuban Tale. Loosely based on Acosta's own remarkable life story, Tocororo tells the story of a humble boy who leaves his family and the traditions of the Cuban countryside for an urban future. Tocororo Suite features Acosta alongside 12 dancers and a full live Cuban band. Alexander Varona, winner of the 2007 National Dance Awards' Emerging Male Artist (Modern) category reprises his star role as The Moor.
