Connect Festival
This March sees a host of activities and events guaranteed to inspire and invigorate dance enthusiasts. Highlights of this year's Festival prove we truly cater for 0s to 90s with an evening performance by Company of Elders, our resident over 60s performance group and Oogly Boogly a show designed for babies aged 12 - 18 months.
I'm personally delighted that five of our Associate Companies are contributing to Sadler's Wells Associates everning. The Associates are an essential component of the Sadler's Wells artistic vision and this evening performance features a showcase of education projects by Rambert Dance Company, Random Dance, George Piper Dances, Jonzi D Productions and Matthew Bourne's New Adventures.
While much of the festival programme is taking place in our 180 seat Lilian Baylis Theatre, we are pleased to host a site-specific residency from CandoCo.
Using its distinct expertise in integrated contemporary dance practice, dancers from CandoCo will be working with disabled and non-disabled students to transform the foyer spaces of the theatre into a performance space.
Throughout the festival, there will be an exhibition of photographs of different Connect projects in the Stage Door Café, making it an ideal place to enjoy coffee or a snack and be part of the life of the theatre.
We hope you can join us to enjoy the festival.
