Connecting Visions: Dance Educators Seminar - Connect Festival
An opportunity for dance practitioners, dance managers, arts development workers, PDMs, teachers and students to explore and reflect on current practices and celebrate excellence in dance education and community work. This free half day seminar event features live performances, case studies and networking opportunities and promises an invigorating afternoon of debate and discussion.
Guest speakers include Betsy Gregory (Dance Umbrella), Linda Jasper (Youth Dance England) and Sian McAuley (Dance UK). Case studies include Dance opportunities through Sport with guest speakers Charlotte Isaacs (Sport Action Zone), Tanya Irvine (PDM, Waltham Forest) and Melanie Nix (London Youth Dance); Dance Projects in Pupil Referral Units a case study from Pavilion PRU in Barnet; Education on the Go explores projects with touring dance companies with contributors from Rambert Dance Company, Northern Ballet Theatre and Sadler's Wells; and Dance United give a keynote presentation about their pioneering work with young offenders.
The event features live performances, case studies and networking opportunities.
