Wild Card — Dan Canham
Wild Card is a brand new Sadler’s Wells initiative that gives artists the opportunity to present the work of their choice. It aims to bring fresh ideas to the stage by giving young creators a platform to share the work they admire.
Bristol-based Dan Canham has performed with companies including DV8 Physical Theatre and Fabulous Beast Dance Theatre, and is the second artist to programme work in the Wild Card series. He presents his eloquent work, 30 Cecil Street, an award-winning solo about a ruined theatre in Ireland, described by Lyn Gardner as “…exquisitely crafted…spine-tingling dance-theatre.” Joining Canham is the captivating and insightful performance artist Augusto Corrieri, here bringing his lecture In Place of a Show.
To complete the bill is Pig Dyke Molly, a riotous group of 18 Molly dancers from Cambridgeshire, who will perform in the Garden Court before and after the show in the Lilian Baylis Studio.
