Sadler's Wells is launching a monthly club night in the Lilian Baylis Studio Theatre, kicking off this October with a special focus on Salsa.

Each month will be a chance to be taught by some of the best teachers in the featured genre, as well as to dance to music brought to you by DJ Cliffy (Batmacumba @ ICA / Futureworldfunk @ Notting Hill Arts Club)  and special guests.

Taking salsa as his starting point DJ Cliffy will take us through one of the finest selections of global beats.

Classes will be available for beginner and intermediate levels before the club night begins at 9pm.

About the teachers

Amanda Maitland has been dancing and teaching salsa in London for nearly 7 years, having taught in some of the best known salsa venues, including Salsa Palladium, La Finca, Ronnie Scott's, Turnmills and El Grande, as well as running the hugely-successful aftershow parties for our summer show Havana Rakatan.

While Amanda can teach at all levels, she is renowned for coaching beginners and improvers because of her infectious sense of humour and the support and enthusiasm for dancers who are just starting out.

Amanda will be assisted by Anwar, a self-confessed salsa addict who is currently the World Amateur Cuban Salsa Champion.

Please note: white soled footwear is not permitted.
