Dance Now - UK/China
Dance Now (UK / China) brings together three contemporary East Asian choreographers/dancers, operating in different parts of the world.
Liu Qi is Deputy Artistic Director of Guangdong Modern Dance Company which is the first professional modern dance company in China. She will spend a two-week residency collaborating with British Vietnamese Anh Ngoc Nguyen (Random Dance | Wayne McGregor and Phoenix Dance Theatre) exploring notions of connection and renewal. They are joined by dancer Maggie Ho-Ki Kwan and composer Suki Mok.
This exciting exchange culminates in a public sharing of their creative investigations, followed by discussion and screenings of previous work, with questions from the audience.
