Fevered Sleep — The Forest

Archived Show

Fevered Sleep returns to the Lilian Baylis Studio for the half-term break with a thrilling new performance for children aged five to seven, which sees the company working for the first time with a cast of three dancers.

There is a place at the very heart of the forest. A place where things are not quite what they seem. People become animals, birds become music, wood becomes water, leaves become light. Everything changes (can you hear it?), everything moves (can you see it?). It’s all around you. It’s full of adventure. It’s the forest.

**** "A luminous production that holds the children fascinated in its grasp"
TIME OUT on Brilliant

The company that created the 2009 hit Brilliant and And the Rain Falls Down invites you to a surprising new performance. The Forest is directed, choreographed and co-designed by David Harradine, artistic director of Fevered Sleep, with associate director Sam Butler and technical designer Ali Beale. Lighting is by Hansjörg Schmidt and music by Jamie McCarthy.

"Fevered Sleep offers a lesson in how companies creating work for the very young are producing some truly sensational theatre"
