Half Term Break -
Another great mix of dance styles for the all family come to Sadler’s Wells this summer for Half Term Break. The evening will see a triple bill of fast, funny and fabulous dance, from hip hop to contemporary.
Monty Python-inspired hip hop duo Rannel will kick off the evening with Flhip Flhop – Everything Happens on the Break. The company’s dynamic pair – Matt Bailey and Joey D compete to entertain each other in an attempt to forget about the monotony of every day life. They combine hip hop and their unique playful style with everyday objects to create a physical performance, which is both energetic and full of spontaneous comedy.
Having performed at Sadler’s Wells earlier this year, Resident Company Wayne McGregor | Random Dance return to perform an excerpt from their new work Entity. A groundbreaking approach to dance which reaches across the worlds of dance, film, music, visual art, technology and science has seen the company create some truly inspiring and unique pieces of dance over the years and Entity is no exception.
The evening will finish off with an outstanding duet performed by well renowned dancers from the London based hip hop company Boy Blue - Kenrick ‘H20’ Sandy & Vicky Skytilz Mantey. Performed last year at Sadler’s Wells’ hip hop festival hip hop Breakin’ Convention 07, The Unusual Force is set to be a highlight of the evening as the pair perform this powerful and exciting duet.
