Hofesh Shechter — Political Mother The Choreographer's Cut

Archived Show

Hofesh Shechter’s electrifying spectacle returns, newly redeveloped for 16 dancers and 24 musicians.

Political Mother was deemed “an audio visual marvel” (Daily Telegraph) after its run at Sadler’s Wells in 2010, celebrated for its unforgettable rock gig atmosphere, Shechter’s ground-shaking score and breathtaking ensemble sequences. Political Mother - The Choreographer’s Cut is set to build on the original piece with six additional dancers, brand new scenes and an even bigger live band. Continuing Shechter’s revolutionary take on the experience of contemporary dance theatre, audiences will be able to get up close to the action with standing tickets available, to experience the full intensity of this “work of galvanising, challenging power” (The Guardian).
