Jérôme Bel — The Show Must Go On
Jérôme Bel is a cult figure on the international dance scene, recognised for challenging the conventions of the genre and producing highly original work. Known as an experimentalist, Bel’s work is performed all over the world from Lisbon to Tokyo.
The Show Must Go On, created in 2001, is one of Bel’s most notorious works - featuring eighteen performers, eighteen pop songs and one DJ. The show has created controversy each time it has been seen, as audiences react with a mix of confusion, delight and shock at this unique performance. Set to a wide selection of pop classics, be prepared for something very different…
This is a unique opportunity to experience Bel's work in a large theatre - the setting for which it was originally intended.
The Show Must Go On is part of Showtime, our Jérôme Bel Season which offers a unique retrospective of seven of his most famous works.
