Sylvie Guillem/Russell Maliphant — PUSH
After three sell-out seasons at Sadler's Wells and five-star reviews, PUSH returns to Sadler's Wells following a European tour and sold out performances in New York.
The production features four works, including Two, a dazzling solo which seems to trap Guillem in a box of light.
The works are complemented by Michael Hulls' stunning lighting and accompanied by music from Andy Cowton, Carlos Montoya and Shirley Thompson.
Since its debut in 2005, PUSH has received four major awards: an Olivier Award, a Time Out Award, Best Choreography (Modern) at the National Dance Awards and the South Bank Show Dance Award.
- "When geniuses collide, sparks fly. There can be no doubt that Sylvie Guillem is one of the greatest dancers ever - and now she has encountered the choreographer Russell Maliphant, a man who shows every sign of being equally outstanding"
- THE DAILY TELEGRAPH
- "Maliphant's choreography has never felt so emotional; Guillem has never looked lovelier. It's a pairing made in heaven" *****
- THE TIMES
Please note these performances are being filmed. As a consequence there will be some changes to the lighting and longer pauses between the pieces.
