Rebel of the flamenco world, Rafael Amargo is one of the hottest talents performing today. His award-winning shows infuse the purest essence of flamenco with other choreographic trends, creating beautiful contemporary dance. Amargo has earned accolades including the most prestigious dance award in Italy, the Positano Leonide Massine award, while readers of Spain’s most widely read newspaper El País, voted Poet in New York ‘Show of the Decade’.

Making its London debut, Poet in New York is based on a collection of poems that Lorca wrote in New York between 1920 and 1930 while studying at Colombia University. Bringing together dance, music and poetry, it is a multimedia spectacular which powerfully evokes early 20th century New York.
