Rambert Dance Company
Rambert Dance Company at Sadler's Wells
Wednesday 14 November 6.30pm
Pre-show talk by Paul Whittaker
Rambert was the first dance company to provide sign language intepreted performances of their shows, an idea which originally aroused some suspicion, but 3 years on, they have become an integral part of Rambert tours. Paul Whittaker - himself profoundly deaf, and Artistic Director of the charity "Music and the Deaf" - will talk about how he approaches signing these performances, the challenges of signing music when there are no lyrics, and his excitement at working with such a prestigious company as Rambert.
The pre-show talk is free to ticket holders and will take place in the Sadler’s Wells auditorium. The proceeding show will be BSL interpreted.
