Sadler's Wells Sampled
Sadler’s Wells Sampled is a unique event in which an assortment of dance styles are presented over two days, across the whole building. This year, audiences can enjoy anything from contemporary dance, ballet and hip hop. All for only £12 or just £6 for proms standing tickets!
Now in its fifth year, Sampled once again offers a world class line up of dance talent.
Balletboyz
The remarkable dancers of Balletboyz The Talent perform Paul Roberts’ haunting ensemble work Alpha, which features in their mixed programme at Sadler’s Wells in March and April.
American Ballet Theatre
Ahead of the company’s appearance at Sadler's Wells in February 2011, Paloma Herrera and David Hallberg, Principal Dancers of American Ballet Theatre, perform the beautiful Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux (choreographed by George Balanchine).
ZooNation
Hip hop dance company ZooNation performs an exclusive excerpt from Some Like it Hip Hop, its first new show since the 2006 hit Into the Hoods.
Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui
The celebrated contemporary choreographer presents Faun, a reinvention of Nijinsky's famous ballet L'après-midi d'un faune. The duet is taken from the acclaimed In the Spirit of Diaghilev tribute, performed at Sadler's wells in 2009.
Winner of Global Dance Contest 2010 – James Wilton
Audiences can look forward to seeing the winner of the 2010 Global Dance Contest, James Wilton, who beat off competition from hundreds of other aspiring choreographers. James and his company James Wilton Dance perform his piece The Shortest Day, set to music by Mastodon.

There will also be free activities in our foyers from 6pm, including the life-size installation and 3D film Tango de Soledad by choreographer Billy Cowie, a performance of Angela Woodhouse and Caroline Broadhead’s breathtaking solo Sighted where dancer Stine Nilsen performs delicate gestures that are revealed through light and mirror, plus street dance classes.
