In response to the Government publishing The McMaster Review: Supporting excellence in the arts – from measurement to judgement, Dance UK and Sadler’s Wells bring together a panel of leading dance artists and professionals to debate one of its key recommendations, to re-instate some form of peer review, i.e. involving artists and art form specialists in the assessment of publicly funded art, in all its forms.
Chaired by Sir Brian McMaster, author of the Government review and former Director of the Edinburgh International Festival (1991 – 2006). He appears with a panel of speakers including Siobhan Davies CBE, choreographer and Artistic Director of Siobhan Davies Dance; Javier de Frutos, Artistic Director of Phoenix Dance Theatre and Olivier Award winning choreographer of Cabaret and Vicky Featherstone, Artistic Director and Chief Executive of National Theatre of Scotland.
