Artist Development and Research

Sadler’s Wells supports the development of artists at all levels, from the National Youth Dance Company, Summer University, Wild Card evenings in the Lilian Baylis Studio, our New Wave Associates, and research & development weeks for new projects.

Support creative learning projects

Each year the Sadler’s Wells Learning and Engagement Team runs a full programme to complement the productions we present on stage. Get into Dance and our Associate Schools programme introduces Sadler’s Wells to new audiences in our local community. We run a successful over 60s programme including the renowned Company of Elders and the Elixir Festival, a unique event celebrating lifelong creativity and the contribution of older artists. Our accessible performances aim to ensure that the widest possible audience can enjoy Sadler’s Wells. And every few years they bring together hundreds of participants of all ages to with international choreographers to create a unique dance piece on the main stage.

Support our performance spaces

Ensuring that Sadler's Wells can present the very best in dance also requires us to have the very best facilities and the very latest in dance theatre technology. At the same time, Sadler's Wells is committed to minimising its impact on the environment.

Sadler’s Wells is extremely proud of its theatre and strives to keep it in the very best condition for its many different user groups whether they are dancers and creative teams, technicians and staff, community users and school groups, and private and corporate event hires.
