Few people within the contemporary art scene have been so influential – both in their work and its accompanying discourse – as Antony Gormley. As an artist who is passionate about dance, Gormley has put his own creativity to the service of choreographers such as Sadler’s Wells Associate Artists Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Hofesh Shechter, and this much-anticipated talk forms the finale of the body:language series.

Part of a series of talks in the Lilian Baylis Studio about the body in dance and live performance, philosophy, science, medicine, anthropology and the arts, curated by dramaturg and writer Guy Cools.

In January 2013, the first two seasons of body:language talks were published by Sadler’s Wells in collaboration with the institute Arts in Society of the Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts, Tilburg, Netherlands. They can be ordered online at the Sadler’s Wells shop.
