Former Royal Ballet Principal, Ivan Putrov, presents an evening of works exploring the beauty of the male form in motion. First presented at Sadler’s Wells in 2012, Men in Motion has enjoyed sell-out success twice on the main stage, and has since been performed at venues across Europe.

Devised by Putrov, Men in Motion explores the history of the male dancer over the last century, celebrating a fascinating repertoire of choreography which highlights the virtuosity and potency of the male dancer. For this new incarnation of Men in Motion, Putrov draws on his own experience and inspiration, as well as collaborating with some of the most exciting performing artists of this generation. An astonishing array of acclaimed dancers take to the stage in this programme, including Edward Watson, recipient of an Olivier Award for outstanding achievement in dance, and English National Ballet Lead Principal Vadim Muntagirov. The exceptional cast of dancers also includes Stuttgart Ballet Principal Marijn Rademaker, National Dance Award-winner Daniel Proietto, ENB's Yonah Acosta, Principals with Staatsballett Berlin Rainer Krenstetter and Marian Walter.

The evening begins with two iconic works - L'Apres-midi d'un Faune and Le Spectre de la Rose, and finishes with the “hypnotic and magnificent” (The Guardian) duet Two x Two by Russell Maliphant. There will also be a new creation by Arthur Pita, former Associate Artist at The Place and creator of the critically acclaimed work Metamorphosis. The evening will have Mozart, Debussy, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky and Faure played live with orchestra and chorus under Richard Bernas.
