Magpie Dance is a company with 30 years' experience unlocking individual potential and ability, and is at the forefront of contemporary dance for people with learning disabilities.

For =dance, they will present Flying High, an evening of two dance works. Made by Many is choreographed and performed by the adult dancers and sees the dancers use live drumming, pair work and ensemble work to make connections with strong, rhythmic movements. Recently performed at the Unlimited Festival 2014, Sophie Partidge at Disability Arts Online said "Magpie Dance Co then followed, with Made by Many, which I felt was the strongest of all seven pieces... the piece was complete and cohesive, with all performers wholly utilising the space and making it their own. Choreographed by the group to build tension and pace built throughout, the piece was captivating. More please!"

The second work in the evening is The Story So Far, a specially commissioned work by David Willdridge from renowned contemporary dance group Stopgap. The work includes dancers from the youth group, as well as Magpie's newly launched High Fliers.
