Yorke Dance Project presents a visually stunning and dynamic programme of new dances, which secured 5* reviews for its preview performances.

Eight compellingly athletic performers at the peak of their physical powers perform a programme that includes the world premiere of Lingua Franca a brand new work by the father figure of contemporary dance in Britain - Robert Cohan. Alongside the work by Cohan are No Strings Attached, the first professional work of 17 year old rising-star choreographer Charlotte Edmonds; Unfold to Centre, by company Artistic Director Yorke Edgell, an enthralling re-imagining in dance of Larry Cuba’s pioneering computer-animated film 3/78 (Objects and Transformations); and Canciones del Alma, a unique remounting of a solo by Cohan only ever seen once in its original form the UK.

Figure Ground is evening of brilliant dance that is rooted in tradition whilst blazing its way into the future.
