This event will see Hamish MacPherson, Jamila Johnson-Small and Zinzi Minott, aka The Rebel Man Standard, draw together nine months of investigation looking at the political potentials, and potential ramifications, of dance and choreographic practice, socially and for the body of the doer. Short provocations offered by each artist will act as catalysts for conversations as we consider making dance, working and living in London today.

This is the final event of The Rebel Man Standard's programme of training, research and public interventions that have taken place between July 2015 and May 2016. The project has explored it's theme of considering the relationships between dance and politics through a range of activities: immersive research at Impulstanz Festival, simultaneous independent studio research, academic research, writings, talks, performance sharing’s, workshops and curating a two week festival. Importantly the project involved working together and sharing resources to create structures and spaces in which we could follow our interests independently. .
