Sadler’s Wells Sampled
Sampled is a chance for dance fans and newcomers alike to enjoy a diverse range of styles from some of the world’s finest dancers at a specially reduced price.
A regular fixture at Sadler’s Wells since 2007, Sampled features a wide variety of dance, from classical ballet to hip hop, contemporary and tango, alongside workshops and events taking place throughout the building.

Billy Biznizz - Friday 29 January - The weekend starts here! DJ Billy Biznizz will be in the house to throw down some funky disco beats. Renowned for his work with the likes of Public Enemy and Ty alongside his own crew Tha En4cers, he’ll be giving you a taster of what to expect from Breakin’ Convention, the international hip hop festival, taking place later this year.
Shellac Sisters - Saturday 30 January - Swing by the Rosebery Room and discover The Shellac Sisters. With a passion for vintage fashion, music and dance, these four glamorous DJs play their superb collection of records using 1920s wind-up gramophones. Exhibition Battle - Friday 29 January - Rosebery Room from 7pm - If you’ve never been to a hip hop battle before, you couldn’t ask for a better chance to encounter its raw passion and energy than this special exhibition event. UK breakdance champions Soul Mavericks take on their Dutch counterparts, The Ruggeds in this fierce showcase of international talent.
Beatbox Showcase - Friday 29 January- Rosebery Room, 8.30pm - Absorb the healing powers of hip hop with beatboxer and rapper Marv Radio. Raised in London, Marv believes that music is medicine - and an encounter with him may be just what the doctor ordered!
A-Z of Dance: LIVE - Throughout the foyers from 6pm (from 12pm on schools matinee) - Spot the dancers demonstrating different styles, moves and ideas about dance, following an A to Z of key dance words. This is a chance to meet and talk to professional dancers about what they do and ask that burning question.
Little Dreams (2015) - Second Circle from 6pm (from 12pm on schools matinee). Explore dance artist Wilkie Branson’s curious, mesmerising and poetic short film about dreams, fears and aspirations. Delve deeper into his unique creative process with an accompanying making-of featurette, and a chance to see a selection of the 4,000 hand-cut characters from the animation.

The Ruggeds- Friday 29 January - Rosebery Room- You’ve just seen them on the main stage, now come and learn breakdance basics from one of the world’s leading crews, The Ruggeds from Holland. No experience is necessary. Don’t miss this chance to learn a few moves sure to impress your friends.
Bees Knees - Saturday 30 January - Rosebery Room - Want to learn the Charleston? The Shellac Sisters’ music is made for dancing, and after the show they’ll be joined by one of London’s finest flappers, Aila Floyd of the legendary Bees Knees.
