Sadler’s Wells Associate Artist Akram Khan performs a powerful kathak solo, the classical dance form from North India.

Patri Satish Kumar, a musician from the great Carnatic tradition praised for his technique and effortless virtuosity on the mridangam, is then accompanied by two of India’s groove masters, Tavil Triplicane Sekar and Amrit Khanjira.

The charismatic bansuri flute and tabla drums players Pravin Godkhindi and Supreet Deshpande follow with a series of beautiful ragas - one of the key structures of Indian music evoking different emotional modes linked to different times of the day.
