Sadler's Wells & DanceEast

On 7-9 April, arts organisations and individuals across the country will be marking Get Creative Weekend, a joyous celebration of art and creativity across Britain. Part of the Get Creative campaign launched by the BBC and cultural movement What Next? in 2015, the weekend sees events taking place around the country.

We invite you to join us for three exciting workshops and a performance on Friday 7 April. Two workshops and the performance will take place at Sadler’s Wells; for the third workshop, run by our National Youth Dance Company, we have teamed up with DanceEast in Ipswich. All events are free. Join us, take part and enjoy!

National Youth Dance Company (NYDC) is the country's flagship youth dance company. This April, NYDC is in residence at DanceEast in Ipswich, working with 2016-17 Guest Artistic Director Damien Jalet to create its brand new work Tarantiseismic. In partnership with DanceEast, NYDC invites young people to take part in an experience workshop.

If you are aged 14-19 (or up to 24 if deaf or disabled), we'd like you to join us for a morning of dance including a workshop, the opportunity to watch NYDC dancers in rehearsal and to find out more about the company. Parents, carers and guardians are invited to watch the NYDC rehearsal and to the discussion with the dancers, 11:30am - 12:30pm. The workshop is open to young people from all dance backgrounds and abilities with experience in any dance style. The workshop is free to take part in, but places must be pre-booked.

To book your place, please complete the booking form available on this page.
