International ballet superstar Ivan Putrov assembles a cast of award-winning dancers for his latest Men in Motion programme exploring the changing role of the male dancer. Spanning 100 years in 100 minutes, Men in Motion pays homage to great dancers and choreographers of the past and showcases some of the most exciting artists of the present.

Legendary dancer Irek Mukhamedov is joined by Men in Motion regulars Royal Ballet Principal Edward Watson, Daniel Proietto (Norwegian National Ballet), Marian Walter (Principal, Berlin State Ballet) and Matthew Ball (Royal Ballet First Soloist) and new recruits Timofej Andrijashenko (Soloist, La Scala) and Mathieu Ganio (Etoile, Paris Opera Ballet).

Featuring choreography from Fokine and Nijinksy, Russell Maliphant and a new work by Arthur Pita created for Irek Mukhamedov. Putrov will dance the role made famous by Nijinsky in Fokine’s Le Spectre de la Rose. Daniel Proietto reprises his role in Russell Maliphant’s much loved Afterlight (Part One) inspired by Nijinsky’s drawings, while Royal Ballet Principal Edward Watson dances Arthur Pita’s comic but ultimately poignant Volver, Volver which sees him move from matinee idol to Spiderman. Marian Walter and Timofej Andrijashenko will dance the pas de deux from Roland Petit’s Proust.
