Time in Motion — The National Youth Ballet of Great Britain

Time and motion collide in this mixed programme of captivating ballets, choreographed by some of the UK's most eminent professionals and rising dynamic protégées. Performed by a company of talented young dancers from across the UK.

The Time in Motion 30th Anniversary Season, encompasses an impressive array of short ballets that will take you on a compelling journey through time.  Including Christopher Hampson's abstract ballet Carnival set to Saint-Saëns’s humorous score, Jonathan Payn and Samiri Saidi's beautiful classical works and Etta Murfitt's characterful, narrative piece set to the brilliant Rodgers and Hammerstein Oklahoma score. We will venture into the future with a bold, contemporary piece by Arielle Smith, a playful and humorous short ballet  for our Junior Company by Louise Bennet and a keenly anticipated premiere from Birmingham Royal Ballet’s First Artist and choreographer Ruth Brill.

"The level of creativity must be regarded with a certain degree of envy by many a professional company"
David Bintley, CBE, Director, Birmingham Royal Ballet.
