Described as "one of the most daring and highly original dance theatre companies in the world" (The Times), Fabulous Beast and Sadler's Wells present the Bessie nominated production, Rian.

With three Olivier Award nominations under his belt, choreographer and founding director of Fabulous Beast Michael Keegan-Dolan has established a reputation for his dynamic and innovative approach to theatre. For this work he has collaborated with one of Ireland's most successful musicians, Liam Ó Maonlaí of Hothouse Flowers, drawing inspiration from Ó Maonlaí's 2005 solo album, Rian, which means 'mark' or 'trace' in Irish.

Rian sees eight dancers from around the world and four of Ireland's top musicans unite with Ó Maonlaí and Keegan-Dolan to create an expressive cultural hybrid. Rian taps into healthy life enhancing traditions with influences from faraway places to evoke a timeless vision of the real indescribable nature of things.

"In the febrile creative mind of Michael Keegan-Dolan, anything is possible”"
