Family Weekend is Sadler’s Wells’ annual two-day festival where the fun continues before and after the performance. With an array of exciting games and activities happening all over the building, this is an event that offers entertainment for all the family.

Taking inspiration from fairy tales, Deep In The Woods is a fun and interactive show about a little girl who bravely ventures into a dark and mysterious wood. Encountering tempting trees to climb and beguiling creatures, the tale unfolds as the young audience help to create a magical world using shadow and light to guide the little girl through her bewitching adventure.

After enjoying a sell-out visit to the Lilian Baylis Studio in the Autumn, gobbledegook return with Deep In The Woods, which intertwines shadow play, interactive video installations and a thrilling fusion of contemporary dance and acrobatics. A highly unusual and original show, Deep In The Woods is specially designed for children aged 2 – 5 years.

Deep In The Woods was originally developed at Chats Palace, is supported by the Arts Council England, and is presented in association with MOKO Dance, a national dance partnership dedicated to opening the eyes of young people and their families to the power of dance.

A programme of workshops for children and their families will be available.
