After two highly successful seasons, Wild Card returns for a third series. This Sadler’s Wells initiative gives emerging artists the opportunity to present several works of their choice in a mixed bill. It brings fresh ideas to the stage by giving new dance talent a platform to share their work and introduce cutting edge artists who inspire them.

Originally from Spain, Eva Recacha has established herself in the UK as an up and coming artist with a distinctive voice, having twice been a Place Prize finalist. She has been commissioned work by EDge, LCDS, DanceXchange, Bloomberg SPACE and the Opera Estate Festival in Veneto.

Recacha curates an evening entitled Dear Devil, exploring themes of authority, power, subjugation and rebellion. The evening will show work by dance artists Colin, Simon and I; the collective Dog Kennel Hill Project and her own 2013 Place Prize piece The Wishing Well.

Supported by The Garrick Charitable Trust

The Wishing Well was commissioned for The Place Prize for dance sponsored by Bloomberg
