Maija Hirvanen is a rising name of the contemporary performance scene in the Nordic region. Her visually arresting works question how we live our lives, and what is important to us. In this piece, For those who have time, she brings together her trademark minimalism with complex emotional experiences.

For those who have time is a dedication to theatre audiences. The title points to the tone of the work: direct yet open, questioning yet playful. Hirvanen uses humour, purposeful discomfort and direct address in the hands of three striking performers who ask: what have you got time for?

At the core of the piece is an invitation to take a closer look at the habits formed by the fast pace of contemporary life, which ironically both unite and isolate us. This concern is echoed in the trilogy Operation We, of which this is the second part. Here imperfection, anxiety and beauty emerge through shaking, sweat and singing. This performance literally makes you hear the ticking of time.
