Chotto Desh inspired Creative Dance Workshops

Friday 30 October at 12 noon and 3.30pm
Saturday 31 October at 1.30pm

For children aged 7-11 years
£2 per person / same day ticket holders only

This creative dance workshop brought to you by MOKO Dance, explores themes from Chotto Desh and is perfect for children aged 7-11 years who have lots of energy and enthusiasm. Participants will be able to explore storytelling through creativity and movement inspired by the performance.

The workshop will offer a fun and sociable environment with emphasis on musicality and creativity, and will also involve contact work, working in pairs or small groups. Please note, parents/guardians are not required to accompany children in the workshop.

Front of House Activities

Friday 30 October, 1-5pm
Saturday 31 October, 10am-3pm

For families and children 7+

These front of house activities, exploring themes from the show, are free and open to all. They are suitable for children and grown-ups alike. Participants will use their creativity and imagination to create artwork they can take home with them should they wish.

Children must be accompanied by parents at all times. No booking required. Family-friendly food will also be available in the Garden Court Cafe all day.

Book Signing with Karthika Nair

On Saturday 31 October following the 3pm performance there will be a book signing with Karthika Nair, the author of The Honey Hunter; a children’s book illustrated by Joëlle Jolivet. Naïr was the principal story and scriptwriter of DESH, choreographer Akram Khan's 2011 solo work.

The Honey Hunter will be available to purchase.
