The world-famous and world-class dance company, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, returns to Sadler's Wells for the first time since 2010 with an exhilarating showcase of dance. Celebrating nearly 60 years of unparalleled artistry, Ailey's trademark technical brilliance and passionate energy bring audiences everywhere to their feet with every performance.

Beginning the afternoon is an excerpt from Night Creature, a perfect fusion of Ailey's buoyant choreography and Duke Ellington's sparkling music, it beckons viewers into a nocturnal world populated by jazz babies and night owls.

Concluding the matinee is Ailey's legendary Revelations - the most seen modern dance work in the world. More than just a popular dance work, it has become a cultural treasure, beloved by generations of fans. The piece will include a narration from one of the company's dancers to provide an expanded background to the work.
