The masters of tap mix urban beats with powerful physicality in this slick and dynamic fusion of sound and movement.

Introducing New York sensation Dorrance Dance onto the Sadler’s Wells stage, dance innovator Michelle Dorrance brings tap into the age of electronic music with an earthy, intensely rhythmic take on the traditional dance form.

Proving that tap is as much about music as dance, the whole stage becomes one big band with the use of Nicholas Van Young’s pioneering electronic tap boards, making every step, swipe, and scrape set off a new element of sound.

Featuring b-girl Ephrat “Bounce “Asherie, seven distinctly talented tap dancers - including the highly original Dorrance herself – live onstage musicians and stunning vocals, ETM (Electronic Tap Music): Double Down takes the first American dance form to a totally new level.

"Pushes the boundaries of tap while exposing it’s true nature: it’s music"

“Stunning, technically innovative”
