UK PREMIERE

On The Habit of Being Oneself is an arresting dance experiment placing full-bodied dancing under the spotlight. On a stripped back stage seven dancers navigate complex choreographic puzzles through continuous, relentless dancing. Reconfiguring choreography and the dancing body, the result is a challenging and refreshingly immediate encounter with dancers and dancing. Indefinite Article, a solo for dancer Andrew Hardwidge, and a new film installation created in collaboration with filmmaker Sam Williams, will open the evening.

Dance Art Foundation Artistic Director Joe Moran creates work concerned with dance’s potential as a contemporary art form, both in theatres and galleries; recently performance include Whitechapel Gallery, Delfina Foundation, Block Universe/fig-2 at the ICA and David Roberts Art Foundation.

"Thoughtful, challenging and wide-ranging stuff"
