For centuries, troublesome, disobedient and independent women have been labeled: witch. Today this term is being re-appropriated.
In HUNTED, up and coming French choreographer Maud Le Pladec collaborated with New York writer and performer Okwui Okpokwasili to create a chant of words and movement, with music by one of Finland’s foremost contemporary composers, Kalevi Aho. Performed in London by Dorothée Munyaneza, this powerful solo uses storytelling and ritual to evoke the witch in every woman.
