Join us for breakfast for an introduction to our creative skills programme. The LLDC and partners would like to invite you to hear about the initiatives we’ve been delivering to support young people gain the skills they need to enter the creative sector.

We would like to hear from you about the challenges and opportunities you have hiring and developing entry level talent for the sector, and explore new ways to work together.

You’ll also hear from existing partners and young people who have benefitted from these initiatives over the last year and explore innovative new ways to develop entry level talent for your organisation.

In 2017, we delivered:

Creative Opportunity Programme - a bespoke two-week pre-employability programme for 18-30 year olds looking to enter the creative sector. Combining industry led workshops, practical skills sessions and careers advice and guidance. Delivered in partnership with Sadler’s Wells and A New Direction, and in collaboration with some of London’s leading creative and cultural institutions in London.

STEP – The Shared Training and Employment Programme, a 12 month development programme for the creative and cultural industry that supports employers to recruit a more diverse talent pool and access talent with the right skills. Employers share interns over 12 months working with interns for 6 months at a time. It introduces participants to a variety of organisations and provides a mentor and a network of peers. The programme provides financial, administrative and training support and resources for organisations taking on interns.
