Earth and everything it contains, including your human body, is made from material born in the heart of a star.

A shared virtual reality dance experience.

Celestial Motion II transports you and a friend to an alternate universe where you are joined by a virtual cast of world-class dancers on a breath-taking journey towards the sun. Using motion tracking technology by HTC Vive to playfully recreate your body, this thrilling Virtual Reality experience, created with Fenyce Workspace, immerses you in a stunning visual environment inspired by the dynamic world of solar physics.

With a special introduction by celebrated scientist and TV journalist, Jim Al-Khalili, this VR experience is a development from New Wave Associate Alexander Whitley’s stage production, 8 Minutes presented at Sadler’s Wells in 2018, and features original music created for the production by electroacoustic innovator Daniel Wohl.

"Alexander Whitley’s poetic and playful creation captures the alien unknowableness of the universe, as well as its visual magic. A stunning cosmic voyage."
