London Premiere

This award-winning immersive Virtual Reality experience is a truly unique sensory journey bringing together choreography and technology from seasoned choreographer Gilles Jobin and Artanim, acclaimed motion capture technology experts and virtual reality pioneers from Switzerland. After showings at the prestigious Venice Film Festival and the Sundance Film Festival, this work finally comes to London.

Tracked by an optical motion capture system, five participants become their own avatar, moving freely in a virtual environment where they meet five virtual dancers. You are welcome to interact with other avatars in this special journey.

Choreographer Gilles Jobin tackles our understanding of our bodies in space and how we perceive ourselves in a truly original way.

"The experience is breath-taking. Even though the piece only lasts 20 minutes, it leaves long-lasting visual and emotional traces.”"

Participants are equipped with a virtual reality system comprising of an on-board computer backpack and a virtual reality headset. Markers are placed on their hands and feet, enabling them to see their body as avatars. Around them the infrared cameras capture their movements, fully immersed in a virtual world they can see each other in real time and interact with one another.
