Sadler's Wells Digital Stage

Join us online for dance performances, films and workshops

Sadler’s Wells presents a programme of full-length dance performances, films and workshops online, to keep you entertained and connected through dance, wherever you are in the world while our live stages are dark.

If you are enjoying Digital Stage and want to help us while our physical stages are dark, a donation of any amount would be gratefully received.

Digital Stage

Digital Performance

The programme launched on World Theatre Day (Friday 27 March), with filmed dance performances available to watch live together with an online audience, or on demand for seven days thereafter.

Take Part

Sadler’s Wells is expanding ‘Take Part’, its series of projects available to the wider community, by presenting a series of online workshops and activities for audiences to dance along to in their own homes. Available from Wednesday 1 April, two series of workshops have been specially created – Family Dance workshops for younger children and Company of Elders workshops designed for adults over 60, but available to for everyone to try.

Family Dance Workshops
Workshops created for young children aged two to six by dance artist Cherie Coleman, who runs Family Friday sessions at Sadler’s Wells. Ten family workshops are available online via the Sadler’s Wells YouTube channel , with themed activities including textures, shapes, sounds, and colours, and storytelling sessions based on fairy-tales such as Little Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

Company of Elders Workshops
Workshops for adults over 60, inspired by Sadler’s Wells’ Company of Elders programme, are available online via the Sadler’s Wells YouTube channel. Each workshop is inspired by a different dance form, with sessions hosted by expert dance artists from around the world and a new workshop added each week.

Film

As well as presenting extraordinary artists on stage, Sadler’s Wells creates films about dance, giving audiences a deeper insight and connection to our dancers, choreographers and performances. While our stages are dark, audiences can continue to enjoy these films wherever they are in the world.

Stay tuned as details of new content for Digital Stage will be announced soon with more information added to this page and announced via Sadler’s Wells’ social media channels.
