A practice-based workshop as part of the Disabled Artists Programme. This workshop will contain sections of movement and discussion.

Annie Edwards is a London based dance artist from Brighton. Since graduating from London Contemporary Dance school, her career has spanned UK and international touring (Candoco Dance Company, Boy Blue ent, ZooNation, Thick and Tight) as well as independent research and facilitation.

She is currently co-leading a research collective championing accessibility in higher education for dancers in Frankfurt, and has received Arts Council funding for her solo project investigating centring disability in movement practises. Stylistically her influences include contemporary dance, House, and floorwork, which form the basis of her principal focus on improvisation and live scores. She enjoys moving sensitively- with joy and presence. Her approach to movement is rooted in disabled embodiment and works with
revealing our bodies information as a way to know ourselves expansively.
