Eliza: A Bloomin’ New Ballet Joseph Poulton

Guest Event

Prices from: £0.00
+ £4.00 transaction fee

Based on George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion, one of Britain’s most enduring stories, Eliza: A Bloomin’ New Ballet transports audiences to 1930s London, where a young flower seller dreams of a life beyond Covent Garden until an unexpected encounter with the brilliant but uncompromising Henry Higgins changes her future forever.

Choreographed and directed by Joseph Poulton, and set to the much-loved music of Eric Coates, this bold new dance theatre work brings Shaw’s timeless story to life through dance, romance and richly theatrical storytelling. Exploring themes of class, reinvention and identity, it asks a timeless question: can we ever truly change, and at what cost?

This first public workshop performance offers audiences an exclusive glimpse of a new work in development.
