This event has passed
Four female dancers wear nude leotards, haircaps and a red tutu around their necks. The lean over their left shoulder, looking expressively as they do. Their left hand is placed on the top of their thigh and they hold their right arm bent up to their head.

English National Ballet School presents the future of ballet with a mixed bill of three contrasting works specially commissioned to showcase the students’ versatility and talent.

Performed by dancers on the School’s Professional Trainee programme, the programme features a reimagining of The Carnival of the Animals which opens the door to a magical universe full of imaginative creatures. In his choreographic reinterpretation, Italian choreographer Mauro de Candia adds Maurice Ravel’s music to the melodies of Camille Saint-Saëns. Polish choreographer, Katarzyna Kozielska, creates a neo-classical group work set to music by Federico Albanese. A contemporary work choreographed by Kristina Paulin completes the programme.

English National Ballet School’s Professional Trainee programme, under the artistic direction of Viviana Durante, offers students from around the world the chance to work with some of the biggest names in dance and further their training as they prepare to launch their dance careers.
