A groundbreaking new work of resistance and revolution
Portuguese choreographer Marco da Silva Ferreira returns to Sadler’s Wells with a genre-crossing piece that will command your attention.
F*cking Future explores the dynamics of over-militarisation and toxic masculinity in modern society, while challenging the systems that shape bodies and behaviours.
A highly anticipated new work from the 2025 Rose Prize finalist, Ferreira combines intensive body practice with urban styles to create high-octane, high-performance dance. Experience the power in a vast yet intimate setting, as seven dancers march between rigidity and dilution, discipline and desire. The collective invokes new forms of union and insurgency – we remain here, resisting through movement.
Header image description: Eight dancers are captured mid-movement. They are energetically swaying using their whole bodies, with their legs bowed and arms flung out to the sides. The dancers wear chainmail sleeveless tops, leather pants and white socks. A blue light washes over them. In the background is an audience in the shadows, watching them.
