England’s young dancers show us their moves!
Making Moves is Sadler’s Wells’ nationwide choreography and performance project, connecting schools and youth groups from across England with some of the world’s most exciting choreographers.
Over the past academic year, our 52 participating groups for Making Moves 2025/26 have worked with digital choreographic toolkits designed by four acclaimed choreographers – Richard Alston, Ivan Michael Blackstock, Thick & Tight, and Fin Walker. Drawing on the toolkits to create a bold and exciting new dance work, each of the groups performed at a Making Moves regional platform in the Spring term – hosted at partner venues across the country.
Following these platforms, eight groups have been selected to perform at our third annual National Platform, sharing their unique creative voices on the Sadler’s Wells East stage as part of YFX 2026.

Relaxed Performances
A Relaxed Performance is a less formal theatre experience for anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a show. They support noise and movement within the auditorium during a show, re-entry when needed so house lights are left on throughout, and a separate chill-out space for anyone who might need it at any time during their visit. We also provide a Visual Story so people can familiarise themselves with the theatre and key details about the show in advance.Making Moves is run by Sadler’s Wells and supported by Barclays.
